A beautiful pair of Violet-washed Charaxes butterflies in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.

The Violet-washed Charaxes belongs to the Nymphalidae family of butterflies. Its primary food is Annona senegalensis, commonly known as African custard-apple.

Its wingspan reaches 6–8 centimetres (2.6–3.4 in).
